Recent Work

Adaptation, Current

I have an interest in Jacobean drama and also particularly enjoy working on adaptations. I am excited to be working with Dr Roy Norton on a Spanish Golden Age play which has rarely been translated, and has not previously been performed in this country. Dr. Norton has completed a literal translation of the play, and together we have produced a performance text. We recently held an investigative reading with actors from The West and South West London equity branch at The Drayton Arms Theatre.

I have performed in both new writing and Classical plays.

Favourite roles in new writing include Marguerite Borel in the UK premier of Alan Alda’s ‘Radiance: The Passion Of Marie Curie’ with Cathy Tyson as Marie Curie directed by Mark Giesser at The Tabard Theatre.

Also Bertolt Brecht’s Danish mistress Ruth Berlau in the UK professional premier of ‘Silent Partners’ by Charles Marowitz directed by David Cottis at The White Bear Theatre.

Favourite Classical roles include the notorious 17th century murderess Alice Arden in ‘Arden Of Faversham’ and Evadne, the King’s Mistress in ‘The Maid’s Tragedy’ both as part of The White Bear Theatre’s Lost Classics Project.

In order to further my understanding of performance I have also written several plays including ‘Scratch’ (White Bear Theatre) and ‘Saturday Night’ (White Bear Theatre); ‘Saturday Night’ was directed by Vicky Jones and was nominated for Off West End’s ‘Adopt A Playwright’ award and a Pearson award.
